THE HAMSTER SAGA.

Nigerians are such a fascinating lot, ehn!

So, we all know about the recent hamster saga. I had a friend who had a lot of coins and was eagerly anticipating the launch day. Oga even promised to send me money once hamster paid, as compensation for not sharing the update with me on time.

Well, the launch day came and went, and I didn’t hear from him. From my end, I knew things didn’t go well because everyone was complaining. When I finally met him, I asked how much he earned.

Can you believe he earned up to 19k? Yet, this person was so pissed that the coin didn’t pay as much as expected. I was like, "So you mean you earned 19k from just tapping your screen every now and then?" It felt so unreal, and what baffled me was the level of greed.

Tapping your screen is the same exercise we do when scrolling on TikTok, which earns us absolutely nothing. Yet, someone was complaining about tapping dedicatedly for months and only earning "peanuts."

From my perspective, the money earned from hamster is like being given free money. So, I made this friend of mine understand that even if all he earned was 2k, he should be utterly grateful because he didn’t really do much to deserve it.

Dearest reader, let's not lose sight of the point here. A normal individual should be over the moon for getting money so easily. The money my friend was angry about is some people’s monthly salary. These people go to work every day and barely have enough time for themselves.

Appreciate the little things, because most times we are not deserving.
