THE ESSENCE OF ARGUING.

Our ideology is limited to our experience. The essence of engaging in an argument is to see from the other person's perspective, and that's where we often get it wrong.

As the saying goes, "When the essence of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable." The purpose of arguing isn't about "I-put-it-to-you" moments; it's about the exchange of ideas.

So when I say life is fair, if you don't think so, don’t immediately attack my words. There may be several reasons to back up my claim. My experiences shape how I think and see things, and I’m not crazy for that.

We must reach a point where we approach arguments or disagreements with an open mindset, so we're not just consumed by our own ideology but are also able to see things from the other person's point of view.

It's not a matter of right or wrong; it's about stepping out of your shoes—your experience, your programming—and trying to see from someone else's perspective.

The other person's viewpoint may seem very wrong and untrue to you, but for them, based on their experience, it’s solid and valid.

Dearest reader, the next time you engage in an argument, please don't focus on being right or trying to win, like some people I know. Embrace learning!

I enjoy engaging with others because it reveals their ideology and thought processes.
