THE BEAUTY OF MESSINESS.
"Something messy can be beautiful," OJ.
A few weeks ago, after church, we were re-painting the outside of our building, and I just fell in love with the art of painting. It all started out ordinarily—mostly messy and rough—but with the continuous strokes of a brush moist with paint against the wall, a beauty emerged.
What came to mind when my friend OJ made the above statement was the thought of God brooding over us, shaping us into perfection. It's never about how things start. If I were to judge the wall and the painters by the first layers, I'd have called it ugly or messy.
Yet, that messiness was a necessary condition for the final beauty. From actively watching and engaging with those doing the serious work, I learned a thing or two about painting.
Dearest reader, life can be messy, just as it can be many other things. The end will always provide an explanation for the mess you face now. If your present situation feels like "shege promax," take it as God working on you—and in no time, beauty will emerge.
