OUR MIND.

"A man with a sound mind will have a healthy body because the mind heals" — Dr. Victor Ogbijah.

Every now and then, I find myself sinking into a sort of depression—one that creeps in subtly. It starts with a loose end here, a little forgetfulness there, and before I know it, it feels as if my life is crashing.

First, my relationship with my coach begins to suffer, and soon, it affects every important connection in my life—including my relationship with God. It's that severe.

This mental state of depression often leads to physical illness. Undue fatigue, fever and so on.

As it turns out, my mental state mirrors my physical condition. When I’m mentally well, it reflects in my physical appearance, and when I’m mentally unwell, it shows too.

My coach always emphasizes the importance of guarding my mind. The mind is a powerful thing, and it governs everything we do. Proverbs 4:23 puts it perfectly: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

Dearest reader, everything we do springs from within. Our thoughts, words, and actions are the products of the state of our mind and heart. Guard yours carefully. Don’t let just anything in, or you’ll suffer the consequences.
