IT CAN ALWAYS BE WORSE.
Merry Sunday, fine people đ
Did you go to church today? Well, I did.
Unfortunately—or rather, fortunately—on my way back, I was hit by a tricycle (keke). The impact was so strong that a part of the blazer I was wearing got caught and ripped. Honestly, I almost cried.
I wasn't upset about the hit itself, but I was heartbroken over my damaged clothes. It was my first time wearing that beautiful blue blazer. If you know the pain of seeing a visible tear on a new outfit, you can understand how I felt.
As I continued home, I couldn't shake off the sadness. "Today was supposed to be a good day," I muttered. I started wishing I had worn my second-choice outfit, which didn’t involve the blazer. Then it wouldn’t have gotten torn.
But then, it hit me—how foolish I was being. To have survived that accident without a scratch was something to be grateful for. If I hadn’t worn the blazer, it would have been my skin that got cut by whatever sharp object tore my dress from the impact.
Dearest reader, we tend to take things for granted. Remember, it could always be worse. Just because you survived something doesn't mean it wasn't a big deal. I’ve heard stories of people who got seriously injured from a tricycle accident.
So, yeah, thank goodness I was wearing that flowing blazer. God used it as a shield to save me from any injuries.
