DIMPLES

Did you know that dimples are actually a beautiful medical disorder?

For someone who loves dimples, learning this was a shocker for me. Dimples are so fine and unique, you wouldn't think something that gorgeous could be considered a flaw.

Well, it is. Interestingly enough, the presence of a dimple suggests a small muscle defect in someone's face. It's funny because this same feature, which I use as a metric for liking someone, would make me worship the ground a person with dimples walks on.

Anyway, the point of this whole write-up goes beyond just dimples. Appearances are often illusions, and things are never as they seem. Just like beauty marks, dimples result from a slight imperfection in facial muscles, and in the same way, there are often hidden flaws behind the glamorous things we admire.

Dearest reader, remember: just because something is flawed doesn’t make it less authentic. Beneath every iceberg lies a mountain.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
