WE ALL SEEK VALIDATION!

It's not really true when we say we don't care about people's opinions—we do! However, there's a specific kind of acceptance we crave, and it's not just everyone's approval.

Every now and then, we genuinely want to be seen, heard, and accepted by the people who matter to us. This is a form of seeking validation, and it's not a taboo—it's totally normal.

When I was younger, I sought academic validation. I wanted to excel in academics, to be recognized by the very people whose attention I desired. When I wasn't, it was pretty depressing. Thank goodness, I'm over that now.

The point is, we all seek validation in one way or another. We crave a space where our likes and feelings are validated and considered normal, where we aren't seen as crazy for behaving the way we do or loving the things we love.

Dearest reader, let's not deceive ourselves—we all seek validation in our own ways. And there's nothing abnormal about it, it's all part of being human afterall.
