THE THING WITH RE-DOING.
I was writing my usual daily content this evening—something about being intentional—when all of a sudden, the whole thing accidentally got deleted.
I just laughed because, honestly, I would have cried if this had happened before. I still remember the first time I accidentally deleted a masterpiece; I wanted to die. To have poured my thoughts into words, only to see all that effort wasted, was so painful that I cried.
It sounds funny now, but I really did cry. My works are like the love of my life—they are rare treasures—so losing them hurts deeply. That day, as usual, I cried to my coach. He just told me to rewrite it since I was the one who wrote it in the first place.
But, you know, it's not easy to write, let alone rewrite something and capture the same vibe. Over time, I made more mistakes like deleting content—thanks to my phone screen—but I realized that rewriting often made the content better than the first lost version.
Dear reader, growth can be surprising. I can't believe I had the same experience today and reacted differently. Instead of crying, I laughed and got to work crafting something new.
In the words of Mr. Pojo, "If you were able to do it in the first place, you can redo it—even better."
