The Perfect Time is Now
"There’s no such thing as the perfect time, there’s only the time you make for it," - Olive Lane.
As a part of the media team at my church, I had an all-night training session to attend last Friday. I couldn’t bring myself to mention it to my dad, let alone attend, because I knew he’d reject the idea outright.
So, when we were informed on Wednesday of another all-night training scheduled for this Friday, I made up my mind to ask my dad, even though I was sure he wouldn't agree. I kept waiting for the perfect moment to bring it up.
Wednesday passed, Thursday passed, and by Friday morning, I still hadn’t managed to say anything. I kept envisioning the perfect opening, but it never came!
Just before he stepped out, I mustered the courage and told him. To my surprise, his reaction was more positive than I expected. It wasn’t a yes, but it also wasn’t a strong no (lol).
Dearest reader, the point is this: perhaps the right time is the time we make for it. Maybe whenever you choose to act is the perfect time, and there’s no need to procrastinate while waiting for the “right” moment.
