The Hidden Responsibilities of Every Gift

In the words of Pastor K: When God gives you a blessing, there's a responsibility that comes with it. But we are often carried away by the glamour of the blessing.

This is so true, and it's how easily we become engulfed in our gifts that makes us oblivious to the responsibilities they carry. Like it or not, everything comes with terms and conditions. Just as we often skip reading the terms and conditions before agreeing to them when opening an app, we also tend to overlook the responsibilities that come with the gifts given to us.

For instance, let's say I was gifted a car. I'd be overly excited and happy, which might cause me to get carried away. My excitement could prevent me from considering the responsibilities now bestowed on me, ranging from refueling to regular maintenance.

Dearest reader, the point is that there’s an expectation or responsibility tied to everything you are privileged to have. Don’t dwell too much on the privilege, lest you forget the responsibility that comes with it.
