REALITY CHECK 001.
In life, never underestimate something you've never experienced.
Today, I assisted my aunty, who is a makeup artist. I didn't do much—just handed her brushes, powders, and the other items she needed to do the makeup.
Prior to today, I loved the idea of becoming a makeup artist. I saw it as easy work. But after standing for hours and seeing firsthand what it truly involves, I don't need a soothsayer to tell me to remove that thought from my mind.
Honestly, it was the standing part that got to me. I'm the type of person who gets sick if I stand for too long, so I had to respect myself and let go of that dream.
The point is, no job is as easy as it looks. It’s not necessarily easier somewhere else, and you shouldn't just dream blindly. We're all advised to dream big, but I'm adding that your dreams should be ridiculously realistic no matter how big, and you should fully understand the upsides and downsides.
Dearest reader, the job of a makeup artist no be small thing! My body feels like I carried bags of cement.
