LIFE IS ...

Life preceded us, right? So how can we define something that precedes us? When we call life unfair, it's strange because, come to think of it, life nor be your mate.

You cannot define life. Any attempt to do so is biased, based on your experience with it or your beliefs about it. And if there's one thing I've come to learn lately, it's that our experiences aren't universally true. Passing judgment based on my experience, though it's true to me, may not be true for the next person.

So, before you call life fair or unfair, ask yourself if you're qualified to pass judgment on such an entity. Because, like it or not, life is infinite. It existed before you and will continue after you. How, then, can we draw conclusions about something whose beginning and end we do not know?

Dearest reader, life "can" be a lot of things (emphasis on "can"—possibility). However, whatever it is, depends on you and your interaction with it. Life is fair—that's how I like to see it, and it helps me take responsibility for everything that happens to me. But really, we can't conclude. How long have we been in existence?

Life is whatever you think of it, but only in regard to your interaction with it. This makes it neutral—if you're fair in your interaction, it will likely be fair as well.
