DOING LESS.

It is better to do less than you hoped than to do nothing at all.

When we make goals, we tend to be a little unrealistic. Doing less always beats doing nothing. That's why they say it's better late than never. We spend too much time beating ourselves up over getting it right without realizing how significant attempting is.

Last week, I planned on attending our Wednesday meeting at church, which starts at 5 pm—the same time I get off work. That day, I was waiting for a waybill driver to arrive before I left for church, but the man took so much time coming, making me arrive at church very late despite rushing.

Ordinarily, seeing how late I was, I would've just given up on going to church. But for some reason, I decided to go with the mindset that even if I only made it for the closing prayer, at least I would be there. As it turned out, I did arrive for the closing prayer, but our church admin was so impressed that I made it to church on a Wednesday (which was unheard of before).

I didn't make it on time, but I tried my best to be there. This Wednesday, I almost made it on time as I was able to catch the start of the preaching. Maybe next Wednesday, I might actually get to the opening prayer.

Dearest reader, the point is, doing less is not a bad thing as long as you endeavor to improve.
