ATTENTION TO DETAILS.

Dearest reader, be watchful and vigilant!

You won't believe I spent ₦18,000 to correct an error in something that cost just ₦1,000 to make. It sounds crazy, right? Honestly, I was furious, but I had no right to be because it was my fault.

It all started with "Free and cheap NIN (National Identification Number) registration." Some people came to my school offering an irresistible deal. If I had followed the normal process, it would have cost more and been much more stressful. So, I jumped on the opportunity.

I quickly borrowed ₦1,000 from a friend of mine and registered in a hurry. I bet I had a smirk on my face, one that suggested I had outsmarted the system. But I wasn't fortunate or smart enough to notice a bigger problem was brewing.

Fast forward to UTME registration, and I realized I needed to correct a mistake in my NIN that ended up costing me more than ten times the amount of the initial registration—all because of a single error in my name.

You should have seen me today, meticulously watching and questioning every single detail as I went for corrections. Don’t be like me; that money is still paining me till now, sef.

A lack of watchfulness led to wasting a huge sum over nothing, losing important time (since it took my whole day and I’ll have to go to work on my day off to make up for it), and unnecessary stress.

In conclusion, my dear, pay attention to details. It'll save you from a whole lot of heartbreak.
