A Reunion That Made My Day.






Nothing matches the feeling of loving someone who's just as crazy about you as you are about them.

My best friend Lee surprised me by visiting me at work today. We hadn't seen each other since February when she left for school, and just last month her phone was stolen, so I hadn't heard from her in a long time. It was a delightful surprise, my dear.

She came straight from the park without even going home first. I could see the stress of the journey on her face, but she didn’t let that stop her—she prioritized seeing me. For someone whose day was going okay-ish at best, her visit turned it into something epic, making it the best day of the week.

Having someone to talk to who genuinely understands me, someone who knows me inside and out so that I don't even need to explain myself, was exactly what I needed.

Dear reader, distance truly makes the heart grow fonder. I'm blessed to have someone who loves and prioritizes me as much as I do her.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
