THOUGHTFUL COMMUNICATION.

Let's say I learnt a really sharp lesson today. Guyyyyyyyyyyyyys, it wasn't a fun experience abeg. One thing I have noticed is that either way you must learn, if you refuse to learn the easy way, life will make sure you learn however way possible. 

When I first encountered the saying above, it resonated deeply with me, not until this experience did i see how swallow my understanding of it goes. 

I have a friend who takes a considerable amount of time to respond to messages. He always says he doesn't reply with the first thought that comes to his mind. Previously, I didn't fully understand this approach, but now, it makes perfect sense.

While I believe that we shouldn't judge people solely based on first impressions, the reality is that sometimes, that’s all we have. In certain situations, a first impression is our only chance, and it must be a good one.

Today, I learned this the hard way. I spoke too much and missed an important opportunity. Only later did I realize that I had given a terrible first impression, and there was no second chance to rectify it.

Dearest readers, be mindful of everything you say. Sometimes, all you have is one shot, and you must make the best of it. Don’t make the same mistake I did. 

Just when you think you’ve arrived, life reveals more areas for refinement. This has truly been one hell of a week.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
