LIKE VERSUS RIGHT.

"When you habitually do what you like, ultimately, things will fall apart and go south. When you habitually do what is right, things will reintegrate and follow the north star." — Metaxist.

We must come to the point where we differentiate what we like from what is right. It's like mistaking speaking without thinking for speaking the truth. It's a dangerous thing to mistake both because we often like to speak without thinking; however, speaking the truth is what is right.

You are what you habitually do; therefore, if you tend to habitually do whatsoever sits well with you, which isn't right, things will constantly go south. So, we must do what is right regardless of whether we like it.

There was a time I had issues with my coach because I wanted to do things my own way. I wanted to do things the way I liked and not his way. He practically abandoned me to my own ways, leaving me to explore the borders of what I liked. Nobody told me before I realized that what I like wouldn't give me what I wanted, which in turn made me seek to do what's right.

Dearest reader, when things fall apart, ask yourself if you're doing what's right or what you like. You'd be shocked that 90% of the time, you were doing what you liked and not what was right. Of course, it's not easy to do what's right, yet it's not impossible.
