Embarrassing Morning.

Hey there! Guess what happened this morning?

I'll tell you anyway.

It all started last week, around Friday or so. My sister asked me to buy peanuts for her on my way home from work, so I stopped by a big store on my route to get them.

When I got there, I communicated the price to her, and she sent me the money, which I then sent to the woman at the shop. Her son, whose account the money was sent to, said he hadn't received it, so I waited for the transfer to be confirmed.

The woman said she saw me pass by every day, so I could take the peanuts and come back the next day to confirm the transaction. I was very grateful for this, so each day I passed by, I stopped to see if they had received it.

Today was no different. Even though I was late for work, I stopped at the shop to check if they had seen it. I couldn't understand why they hadn't because the money had already left my account immediately after I made the transfer, not pending. The woman's son started acting up at this point. He created a scene and refused to let me pass unless I re-sent the money, which I had already sent before. I was embarrassed, and if I had that sum at that point, I would've sent it again.

Luckily for me, there were two older guys there. I explained the situation to them, and one logged into the boy's account on his Android phone (prior to now, the boy was expecting the alert on a basic phone). He viewed the transaction history, and there it was—the same day I sent it. They had received the money almost immediately, yet I had suffered embarrassment over it.

I was raging when I left there. It was so embarrassing. Now that I look at it, it's all just funny. The boy almost called the local people to burn me with a tire as if I had stolen from them when all along the money had gone through.

Dearest reader, people should learn to exhaust all their options before laying accusations. The transaction history couldn't be checked because it was a basic phone with no bank app, yet the boy was overly certain the fault was on my end. It's not entirely the boy's fault; I can only imagine what he must've experienced to behave like that.
