THE ONE PERCENT.




Of all the books I've read this year, *Atomic Habits* stands out for me. I came across a post that taught me to pick a single action after reading a chapter just before I started reading the book.

Looking back now, I can see atomic changes in my everyday life since I started reading this book. For instance, I used to be great at running late. My boss literally complained about my perpetual lateness every day, but to an extent, I've been punctual to work these days.

How did I resolve my lateness ordeal via a book? Well, I got to know that a 1% change over time makes a huge impact. So I didn't start with waking up super early; all I did was change a single thing.

I have this crazy habit of turning my room upside down every morning while trying to figure out what to wear to work. Being so indecisive tends to steal my time, and I end up running out of the house late with my room a mess.

However, I came up with the brilliant idea of picking out all the outfits for the week on Sunday evening, thereby making the dressing-up process so easy. I seldom run late these days compared to before by changing a very tiny detail of my everyday life.

Dearest reader, the change doesn't have to be gigantic to effect desired results. Make that 1% change this week and see the mind-blowing results.
