ROLES AND ROLE DESCRIPTION.

Every role has a detailed statement or account pointing out its demanded characteristics.

A role can be very glamorous; it's a kind of presentable identity. It has this sweetness, for instance, in saying "I'm a surgeon." That's a role, and it entails a whole lot of stuff, trust me. An elaborate responsibility comes with it.

What is of most importance is what a role entails, which is the role description. Every identity you put on is likened to a role, and these roles have descriptions.

When we were picking career paths in school, we looked only at the various sophisticated roles. We didn't see these roles in light of what they demanded. Our dreams were above the roof as we went after professional courses like medicine, law, and the rest, which demanded excellence. Most of us, like myself, failed the first test to prove we understood the descriptions, demands, and characteristics of these roles via poor performance at UTME.

So, it's not about what you want—what you want is a role. It's more about the warning label that comes side by side with this role. Just like a MoniePoint terminal comes hand in hand with a transaction target, so also, every role comes with a role description.

Dearest reader, we will always fail if we consider only the roles and neglect their descriptions. Don't get too excited at the role you're given; you must first ask yourself if you are ready and able to follow its descriptions by giving what it demands.
