Merry Sunday!
At the close of service today, a friend of mine who has a mentor in Jos told me a funny story I'll love to share with you.
According to his narration, his mentor in Jos was teaching him how to create a particular stuff (They are both into electronics), and he asked him to get "Steel wool" and let him know once he had.
Not knowing what steel wool was, he began asking around. Went to the market but no one was selling steel wool, he got home angry and decided to Google what steel wool was and google gave a photo, imagine his surprise when he found out it was iron sponge.
Omor, I couldn't help but laugh. His story brought my mind to the time I visited Abuja and learnt that black cellophane was called leather, trust me, it was weird given that it was different from what I was used to.
To the guy in Jos, calling steel wool iron sponge is crazy, to my friend calling iron sponge steel wool is unnecessary. But the point is no one is crazy, if you ideology doesn't sit well with me, that doesn't make you a lunatic, it only shows how diverse we humans are.
Dearest reader, another lesson from this is that ourtside your horizon exist several systems you are alien to, and you must learn to be flexible enough to adapt when necessary.
