UNLEARN, RELEARN...




Relating to people who refuse to unlearn unnecessary habits can be so frustrating. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience, spending a day with my father would make you feel like hitting your head against a wall a hundred times.

I've noticed that this stubbornness to give up old ways is common among many elderly people. They often resist necessary changes for growth

There's the necessary change and for growth sake we must accommodate it, we must give ourselves to evolving as the world we live in equals evolves. I read somewhere that being the best version of yourself requires you to continuously edit your beliefs, and to upgrade and, expand your identity. 

The world is dynamic, and we cannot afford to remain static. Even if you were a genius a decade ago, without continuous learning, you would become outdated.

Dear reader, progress requires not just learning but also unlearning and relearning. Our beliefs and ideologies should evolve as we grow. Today's truths may need adjustment to fit into tomorrow's reality.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
