THE THING ABOUT PLANNING.

I make plans with the mindset that 95% of it will fail and this is one fine strategy to save yourself from a whole lot of heart break.

But you see that 5% that will go through, it makes the whole planning worth it. Mr Pojo would say, "Prepare to fail", it might sound crazy but it's something. With the knowledge that 95% of my plans will fail, I'd plan better so that the other 5% would be worth it. I would plan better so as to have something to fall back to.

When we do have high expectations for something and the outcome doesn't match the expectation, it could lead to chronic depression. Therefore, expecting less from your plans permits us to make really flexible plans with alternatives to fall back to.

Dearest reader, when your plans fail, learn to distinguish the plan from the person, a failed plan doesn't make a failure because like it or not a higher percentage of your plans are likely to fail.

Prepare for it and embrace it!
