SEEKING ERRORS.
If you go out looking for errors, you'll see a ton of them. In fact, you'll never be able to see any of the good there is.
Research says your first impression of a person is formed a couple of minutes before you actually meet them. Just by hearing their name, you could already subconsciously conclude you don't like them.
There are people who anticipate or expect others to let them down or betray them, which is just weird. Such a person will go on each day searching for betrayal in every way possible, and they are often miserable.
If you seek errors, there's a ton of flaws to find. Why? One of the things we humans try to avoid is identity conflict. When we believe a certain thing to be true, we'll find everything to support our beliefs.
So, if I believe men are scum, wherever I turn, I'd see scum even in the most decent of folks because I went out looking for flaws and would never want to conflict with my identity.
Dearest reader, when interacting with people, we must keep an open mind. I tend to consciously remind myself that I don't know a person whenever my head tries to draw conclusions. That's my way of not searching for flaws.
