HABITS AND HABITAT.
"Habits builds habitat", Mr. Pojo.
One of the first and profound lessons Mr Pojo ever taught me was that of building healthy habits. He often hammers of how our habits constitute of the situations, environment and lifestyle we live or live in.
As was his usual thing, he came one day with a very simple task; "Make your bed the moment you wake up in the morning", It didn't seem hard and I didn't see the need.
Oga went as far as saying, "If you cannot make your bed in the morning, you cannot make an impact in life". And we just laughed about it and all.
So, I decided to obey and trust me, it was crazily hard to start something I wasn't used to. But with time I grew into the habit and it made me more organized given that I was a really clumsy person.
"Ye who is faithful is faithful, be it in smalls or bigs"
As funny as it is, tiny consistent habits can result to massive outcome. Reading Atomic Habits today brought my mind back to this, it was how the author told a remarkable story about the impact of little habits that resonated with me.
Dearest reader, what are your tiny habits? Are they healthy? Will they turn out to be negative compounding or positive compounding?
We must be intentional about our habit for they are responsible for the compound outcome of our lives.
