EFFORT AND EXPECTATIONS.

Have you ever felt like life is being so unfair to you? Have you gotten to the point where you break down into an ocean of "Why me?". 

Yesterday, i was talking to a friend who had just checked her UTME result, and she kept lamenting. "Why me? Things never happen the way I want". 

After listening to her for ages, allowing her cry her heart out, over the great injustice jamb had done her, and her rants about deserving better, and her enemies not wanting her to progress. I finally asked her a series of questions that related to her preparation process and I couldn't hold my laughter given her answers. 

If na so he easy, chai life for nor tough joor. 

Her study plans were based on feelings and motivation, she didn't have a consistent study plan, and she didn't know of anything called jamb syllabus. 

Dearest reader, what was she expecting of jamb? Ill-preparation begot ill result, Jamb is no Santa Claus that gives free gifts. Life is fair yet tough, we get what we deserve and the moment we come to the realization of this, the quicker we take up our cross and do the demanded work.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
