AS SIMPLE AS EATING!
As the saying goes, "Who nor go, nor know."
It all began on Sunday morning. I was rushing to finish my meal so I could make it to church on time, when suddenly, the chest pain struck!
With every spoonful of rice I swallowed, a sharp pain pierced my chest. I immediately abandoned the food and headed to church.
Since then, every time I've tried to eat, that same pain returns, making it unbearable. Yesterday, I went a whole day without food, weighing the pain against my hunger.
For someone who loves food, it was incredibly difficult to turn it away. But the pain was too much. It wasn't until last night that I visited a pharmacist. After explaining my symptoms, I was prescribed some medication, and after taking it, I was finally able to eat.
Now, as I sit here actively enjoying my meal, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the simple pleasure of painless eating. Who would have thought that something as basic as swallowing food or even taking liquids could be so agonizing?
Dearest reader, I became part of the "Some have food but cannot eat" people yesterday, and it made me more appreciative when I could finally eat. Don't trivialize anything, just because you have the ability to or because you're privileged to doesn't mean it's that simple.
At one point yesterday, I was so hungry that tears nearly welled up as food sat right in front of me!
