PANIC!

You wouldn't believe I've had like two panic attacks today.

The first one occurred this morning on my way to work. I received a call that certain items I sent to someone via waybill two days ago hadn't arrived yet.

I knew how expensive the items in question were, and I was unsure if I had the driver's number, so for a split second, my heart stopped, like my brain had forgotten how to make it beat. The atmosphere suddenly became hot, and my sweaty palms trembled.

Somehow, somewhere, I was able to calm myself, and when I got to work, I realized that I had the driver's number and just gave him a call, and everything was sorted.

As if that wasn't enough, I was asked to help a customer sort out an issue on my way from work. It wasn't anything serious, only for things to get really complicated, and the customer had to question my capabilities. Then again, there was that instant panic that I had messed up yet again.

My boss came and saved the day, though.

Dearest reader, from my two panic incidents, I've learned that panicking solves nothing. The moment I managed to calm myself, the whole issue got sorted out. When we panic, we don't see beyond our problematic situation, and this leads us nowhere. We must learn to stay calm even in chaos.
