APPRECIATION 101.

I went home depressed from work today after reading a letter my boss wrote 13 years ago, I was near tears while reading. This letter was addressed to his father and it was written in two full pages of a long notebook, expressing deep gratitude.

His endless appreciation for his father's support and care was heartwarming. It made me realize how rare genuine gratitude can be, especially from children towards their parents.

His relationship with his father is golden, and reading the letter helped me understand why. Have you ever felt like your parent had a favorite child? Today's experience showed new light on that notion for me.

The favorite child isn't necessarily loved more, but rather, they might be more adept at expressing appreciation. Gratitude is one culture that is unmatched.

I've never truly expressed gratitude for my dad's sacrifices, but now I understand their significance. I won't take anything for granted anymore.

Dear reader, how often do you appreciate your parents? Do you recognize the blessings that come with parental acceptance? Don't feel entitled to parental care, they neglect their dreams to support yours.
