MOVE ON.
Pastor Femi Lazarus said in one of his sermons and I quote "Love in it's essence is vulnerability not stupidity, it is giving people the privilege to hurt you if they choose to".
By loving someone or something, they are in the place to hurt you at will and this knowledge isn't to make you refrain from loving. Just before you conclude to not love people again because of the hurt that comes along with it, think back at the multiple times you have hurt God and your parents yet they never stop loving you.
If you can't be vulnerable you can't love. And don't ever feel like being vulnerable is stupid, in actual sense within vulnerability lies strength.
For you that have been through so many heartaches and betrayals, and have decided to never give people the power to hurt you again, that's a wrong approach which will in turn bring more hurt towards your way just as the Alan Watt backward rule implies.
Dearest reader, you should not be scared of being vulnerable but instead create a system that filters out people who have the potential to exploit your vulnerability when given the opportunity. Don't generalize someone's action and allow it create a basis which prevents you from loving again, at all times, take the L' and move on.
