Merry Weekend!


Dearest reader, how did your weekend go? Did you have fun? 

Oftentimes we forget to just sit back and preview the journey so far, you don't give yourself as much credit as you deserve. 

Today was pretty awesome for me, my church hosted an event, "Family banquet". It was mandatory to come with your parents, since my dad wouldn't agree I begged my sister to go with me instead. 

My sister came along with a friend and also a friend of mine attended, it was such a lovely time. We played games, won some and lost some. We prayed, my sister stood for me in place of a mother. And then we dinned together, the food was exceptional. 

Aside from the media guy that seem to have an issue with me thereby focusing the camera on me, today was blissful. For people that has had a lot on our minds of late, it was such a refreshing time and I enjoyed every bit of it. 

At this point everybody is either passing through a lot or alot is passing through them, we are so caught up in being us and has forgotten what it feels like to simply exist, with no worries at the moment. 

Seeing my sister, and her friend smiling from ear to ear, laughing at the dancers, dancing to background music and generally have a nice time, I just paused and wished we had such amazing time more often. Moments so immersive we forget all else. 

A big shout out to FCCIC The Bridge Church, you guys were superb. 

Dearest reader, You sef don try, cut yourself some slack and relax. Thinking back at how these phone obsessed individual put down their phones during game section is still hilarious, Take a break every now and then.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
