SHOW GRATITUDE.


It rained heavily today so I happened to leave the office an hour after my usual closing time, well, because of the rain I was opportuned to see a friend of mine on the way. 

We had a really long and meaningful conversation and just before I boarded a vehicle home he earnestly thanked me. According to him, I had made his day. 

So I went home excited, his gratitude over a mere conversation was humbling. When people do things for you, do you remember to thank them? Just via expressing his gratitude for the very little thing I did, I was very happy. 

Learn to appreciate people for even the littlest thing, you'll never know how far it goes. Appreciating people when they do things for you won't cost you anything yet, it would steal you a spot in their heart. 

Dearest reader, don't wait for universe to be given to you before you show appreciation, but do well to show gratitude for every single gesture. A "Thank you" won't hurt.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
