PERFECT.

I've been seeing this really nice movie for a while now, while watching today something a character said just made sense to me. 

The girl's father would always call her his perfect girl but it was hard for her to understand why she would be called that because she was really good at messing things up. The harder she tried to match up with the name, the harder she made mistakes. 

"Devi, you're my perfect girl", her dad would say. One day she messed up really badly and the dad said the same line while he consoled her, so she asked why he always called her perfect even when she was nowhere near perfect. 

The father explains that he doesn't call her perfect because he wants her to strive for perfection but because no matter how flawed she may seem, she's perfection to him. 

Have you tried impressing someone so badly? Why try so hard when perfection is you?

Dearest reader, don't try to prove a title given to you, just be you, because they knew what they saw when they chose you. For real, why try to be perfect when perfection is you?

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
