LOVE - A DECISION.


It is my claim that the difference between admiration and love is a decision. 

Everyday we come across things that catch our attention, it is the nature of humans to be attached to shiny objects, but this is a mere admiration. 

Admiration often leads to love. You admire everything/everyone you love but you don't love everything/everyone you admire. 

I'm crazy about Nigeria writers, their twists and play with metaphor blows me out of my mind, I admire everyone who's able to express thoughts in the eloquence of words, yet when it comes to writing there's this two ladies I can't help but love. 

To admire a thing or entity is often not in our control, we can just happen to find something attractive, but to love something or someone is a decision you make everyday. 

Dearest reader, loving comes with a price, you've got to decide to deliberately commit to what/who you love even in the messiest of scenarios. This thing called love ought to be done out of intentionality else, it won't work.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
