INTELLIGENT BUT NAIVE.
We often equate intelligence to being aware, which isn't always the case. One can be intelligent yet naive.
Have you come across a really smart yet ignorant person? Well, I have. To an extent, I am myself, ignorant though intellectual.
Yesterday my coach mentioned, "Favour you are intelligent but naive", honest to God it'd sting a little, but when I gave it some thought I saw his point.
This took my mind to a movie I watched with my sister a couple of weeks back. 'The Big Bang Theory', in between every episode my sister would hiss and then say, "How can someone so smart be this dumb?" if you've seen the movie you'd be able to relate.
Smart but dumb, that's ironic you know. Being intellectual cannot be equated to being aware, intelligence gives you an edge, and experience gives you an escape from naivety.
Whatever you've experienced leaves you with an awareness for life. If I have been burnt by fire, surely, I need no man to tell me not to place my hands in fire, because the past experience had birthed an awareness.
Dearest reader, are you intelligent but naive or are you intelligent and aware? Mind you, everybody is intelligent, it's nothing special.
Merry weekend
