FIRST CLASS ALL-ROUNDER.
"The World is a global village", Marshall McLuhan.
The skill to rule the village is that of a hunter or a fisherman. If you check, it'd surprise you how small the world is.
Now, let's skip all this for now and listen to a story. These days I'm beginning to tell lots of stories, here's the story.
Tomorrow is my last day of work as a customer service rep. Well, getting to work today my boss decided we were going to just discuss for the day(Given that I've been doing a great job).
In listening to his stories and experience I recalled attending an event where one of the speakers was addressed as 'First Class All-rounder', the speaker was so good, and even after the event I tried looking for him but couldn't find him so I gave up.
My boss was that speaker, I was so wowed. It's been 2 years and here I was working for him without knowing. It had that feeling of meeting your celebrity crush or so.
If I had known earlier, God knows I would've been worshipping the floor he walks on, but this isn't the point.
The world is indeed small, therefore to effectively navigate through, we must adopt the skill of hunters and fishermen, but why?
One skill peculiar to the hunter and fisherman is patience, it's how they aim, wait, and calculate before obtaining their reward, but that's not what we want to do. We want things sharp sharp and fast not minding the process.
Vai my today's discovering about my boss, you'll see how small(or how much of a village) the world is, so there's need to cultivate the skill of an hunter or fisherman.
