LEARN TO LISTEN.



Everybody wants to be understood yet they don't want to understand. 

Few months back I was working as a customer service personnel, and then came an opportunity to learn a skill so I stopped the work even before being paid given that I assumed that it'd be impossible to do both. 

My boss wanted me to stay back and at least be paid first before leaving but I didn't listen because I thought he didn't understand me. Well, long story short I'm back to working with him as he explained that the job didn't entail the kind of consistency i thought. 

Just before you assume, pause for a moment to listen to understand the other person. It's not right to carry out actions out of assumptions. Listen first, if you want to be listened to. 

"Only a child wants to be understood at all times", Mr Pojomatics. The attitude of seeking to be understood by someone who you haven't tried to understand is simply childish. 

At all times seek to understand rather than to be understood. Learn to shut up and 'shema' when others speak, there's never a need to prove a point.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
