EITHER WAY IS A WIN.
Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise though it doesn't always seem like that, yet it is.
Yesterday I was supposed to meet a very good friend of mine. Well, something happened and the friend couldn't meet up, I was very upset about this because I had earlier cleared my very busy schedule to accommodate the meet.
Having a lot free time at hand I decided to give my full attention to a particular assignment given to me by my writing coach. I have been given this assignment since like two week back but whenever I tried to do it, it just doesn't click so I would postpone it.
Before long I was done with the assignment and submitted. To my greatest surprise my coach was impressed and I won two prizes. I was super duper excited, still having extra time at hand I did yet another outstanding assignment and my coach was also impressed.
He went on to praise me, this was too good to be true giving the fact that he is hardly the kind of person who is easily impressed. If you like outdo yourself the guy is not moved so you would understand why I was in cloud 9.
Later that day some of my sister's friends came to visit her, somewhere in their conversation she mentioned an app I had and they wanted it too, since I didn't get the app for free I asked that they pay a sum(twice the price I got it), I was expecting that they would negotiate but to my surprise they didn't so I sold it like that.
Now, if I had met with my friend, I would've had a really good time but I wouldn't have done the two assignments from my coach that won me two prizes and I also wouldn't have sold the app for twice the price I got it.
The point here is, everything happens for a reason. The reason might not be seen right away but with time it will unravel. With the two wins I had yesterday I had long forgotten how angry I was about the cancelled meeting.
Life doesn't go as you've planned. It doesn't go YOUR way, it goes THE way. However it turns out make it to your advantage.
